The Reverend Dr. Mark Smith has served as Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for over twenty years. A son of an Air Force officer, Pastor Smith has special empathy for armed forces personnel and their families, as well as for anyone having to relocate and become acclimated to a new community.

Pastor Smith is a graduate of Valparaiso University and Concordia Seminary. Prior to his arrival at Prince of Peace, Smith had served parishes in San Diego, CA and Forest Green, MO.

Pastor Smith describes Prince of Peace as being a "smaller but more friendly congregation; one which loves her Lord Jesus, His Holy Word, and His Great Commission.
